Description Staff Accountant / Accounting Clerk Nonprofit Organization Salary: $45,000u2013$50,000 (open to considering up to $55,000 with approval) Position Overview We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Accounting Clerk to support our day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting a cause and wants their accounting work to have a meaningful impact. The position focuses primarily on accounts payable, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate accounting records that help support grant reporting and organizational operations. This role works closely with internal social workers (no tenant interaction). Month-end close and financial statement preparation are handled by senior leadership. Key Responsibilities + Process approximately 100 accounts payable entries per month + Perform bank and credit card reconciliations + Reconcile bank accounts + Reconcile credit cards, consolidated into one account by individual user + Maintain basic accounting records and Excel spreadsheets to support grant submissions + Utilize Sage and Microsoft Excel for daily accounting tasks Why This Role?
