MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT u25cf Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems u25cf Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software u25cf Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues u25cf Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software u25cf Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages u25cf Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels u25cf Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions u25cf Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations u25cf Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines u25cf Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users u25cf May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies u25cf May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals WHAT YOUu2019LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
