The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced manager for the role of Family Support Director. The Family Support Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of Family Support/Childrenu2019s Services for the Central West Region. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_ u00b7 Directs and manages the expansion or continuation of family support and childrenu2019s initiatives in the region, in response to identified needs, legislative mandates, or awards of new funds. u00b7 Works with Area Office and Regional Teams to strengthen partnerships with Family Support providers, individuals and families. u00b7 Represents Central/West Region at statewide Family Support Directors meetings, events and work groups as well as at other forums, works closely with Central Office and manages Regional Family Support Contracts. u00b7 Participates in inter-agency planning and problem solving as needed; participates in the Regional Management Team in order to maximize support and information sharing with the Areas; provide information and data analysis as needed to support quality assurance activities and for the development and management of related DDS information systems and other duties as assigned. u00b7 Maintains and expands interagency collaboration at the regional level with sister EOHHS agencies, schools, and other community organizations in efforts to improve the delivery of family and childrenu2019s supports. u00b7 Manages regional contracts including the Request for Response (RFR) process, billing, utilization, and quality assurance. u00b7 Meets with Central/West Area Office based Childrenu2019s and Transition Service Coordinators as well as Family Support provider staff on a regular basis to provide updates and share information. Distributes and interprets information, policies, and guidelines to stakeholders, and obtains information and prepares reports as required to meet the needs of the Region u00b7 Provides supervision to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Program Coordinator II u00b7 Conducts all necessary administrative activities to ensure the success of the regional family support/childrenu2019s _Please Note_: This position is located in the Regional Office in Springfield, MA Schedule: 9:00am u2013 5:00pm Days Off: Sunday/Saturday /Flexibility required to meet the needs of the program/area office./ _About the Department of Developmental Services:_ The mission of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is to create innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder to participate fully and contribute meaningfully to their communities as valued members. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) five (5) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, professional internship, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below. Substitutions: I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. II. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience. III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required experience. IV. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience. Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidateu2019s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Divisionu2019s Hiring Guidelines.
