Field Service Technician

Job Title: Field Service Technician Job Description The Service Technician 2 position requires a highly self-motivated individual to perform service work on a full complement of products at customer sites. The technician will work directly with end users and contractors to ensure that all on-site products are functioning properly and tested prior to system energization. The role involves frequent domestic travel and occasional international travel. Responsibilities + Execute a System Startup checklist at customer sites. + Program CPM and third-party meters on-site. + Identify and resolve complex network issues. + Use terminal emulator programs like PuTTY for programming and networking support via phone. + Complete startup certification reports and meter commissioning reports using provided templates. + Interact professionally and respectfully with customers on job sites. + Obtain a Level 1 Thermography Certification to perform IR scans of energized components and complete related reports. + Diagnose and repair on-site issues and mentor technicians. + Suggest new services identified through customer and contractor interaction. + Identify and specify required testing equipment for on-site services to enhance efficiency. Essential Skills + Superior attention to detail. + Effective verbal and written communication with customers. + Basic experience with MS Windows/MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook. + Familiarity with product lines. + Ability to travel and willingness to make overnight trips, staying up to four nights. + One year of technical working knowledge of product lines. + Valid Driveru2019s License and ability to rent a vehicle. + Ability to obtain government security clearances and a passport. + Experience using power and hand tools. + Basic knowledge and experience with electrical components. This position is considered remote, ideally suited for someone residing in or near Loudoun County, VA. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fairfax, VA.
