The Regional Extension Information Technology Contact position is an important member of the team that serves the IT needs of the UK Cooperative Extension Service. This position will act as primary IT support for 17 Cooperative Extension Service (CES) offices in western KY and will have frequent contact with CES agents, staff, and other CES employees.The position is housed at our scenic 1,615-acre Research and Education Center in Princeton, Kentucky, which has produced a wealth of groundbreaking agricultural research. The job also provides opportunities for frequent travel to the various sites it supports.About the RoleThis role provides frontline IT support for CES offices, ensuring reliable technology and network connectivity for staff across multiple locations. The position supports daily technical operations, including troubleshooting hardware and network issues, assisting users with technology needs, and helping maintain a stable and secure IT environment.The role also evaluates technology needs, recommends solutions, and prepares quotes for new hardware purchases. In addition, it helps ensure that hardware deployed across CES offices is properly configured, maintained, and secured in accordance with institutional IT standards.This is a full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours per week).
