44108BR Extended Job Title: Senior Specialist - Leadership Development Center Position Description: Performs specialized, complex work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under supervision within established guidelines with performance based on overall results obtained. Requisition ID: 44108BR Travel Required: Up to 25% Major/Essential Functions: Indirect Supervision (15%) + Provide accountability of Residence Life Office student assistants, Residence Life professional staff and student leaders for administrative tasks including office supply orders, budget paperwork, training certificate compliance, etc. + Document and communicate effectively with direct supervisors regarding any concerns Administration (45%) + Prepare, distribute and record minutes for assigned meetings + Process and ensure accuracy/compliance of budget paperwork, travel paperwork, and additional administrative responsibilities in assigned areas + Process hiring paperwork, onboarding procedures and maintain up-to-date rosters of staff and student leaders + Ensure key inventory is up-to-date and coordinate key distribution and return for Residence Life staff + Serve as administrative support for all Residence Life hiring and employment processes including recruitment, payroll status updates, etc. + Conduct associated reference checks, drug tests, background checks and grade checks for assigned staff or student leaders + Support, provide guidance for, and implement departmental customer service model + Utilize departmental databases and online systems for the management of University Student Housing and Residence Life operations Communication (20%) + Provide internal and external customer service via the phone, e-mail and in-person + Be knowledgeable of campus resources and refer students, faculty and staff as appropriate + Communicate necessary information to internal and external stakeholders as needed + Ensure accurate reporting and provide follow-up as necessary with student and parent concerns Departmental and Campus Support (20%) + Support departmental initiatives within Residence Life including but not limited to in-hall, leadership and academic development and student support and staff operations + Coordinate assigned reports including but not limited to monthly reports, time tracking, etc. + Manage solicitation requests as assigned + Provide administrative support to departmental initiatives as requested + Develop and maintain relationships with all areas of University Student Housing including Housing Services, Administration and Business Services and Residence Life Grant Funded?: No Pay Basis: Hourly Schedule Details: 8 AM - 5 PM Work Location: Lubbock Preferred Qualifications: + Previous experience working in administrative office role + Experience within Residence Life or other are of Higher Education + Direct customer service experience Department: University Student Housing Required Attachments: Resume / CV Job Type: Full Time Shift: Day Required Qualifications: High school plus five years experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis. This position requires eligibility to drive TTU vehicles, including a valid U.S. driver license and two years of driving experience.
