Crozier Fine Arts is seeking a _Crate Technician_ to join our Fabrication Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of individually designed wood crates for the handling, packing, and shipping of fine art, antiques and artifacts. What Youu2019ll Do (Responsibilities) In this role, you will: + Process crate designs according to specific technical specifications and design paperwork. + Collaborate with internal Art Handling and Logistics teams to ensure all containers meet the requirements for safe transport and storage. + Ensure compliance with general shop safety standards and recommended safety requirements for all power tools and equipment. + Safely operate a variety of shop equipment, including table saws, panel saws, pneumatic tools, and sprayers for adhesives, paints, and lacquers. + Prepare specialized inner packing materials, including insulation and cushioning foams, according to detailed specifications. What Youu2019ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) The ideal candidate will have: + 1+ years of experience in a crate shop and/or production carpentry environment. + Strong knowledge of general shop safety and recommended safety requirements for a wide range of power and hand tools (e.g., table saws, band saws, pneumatic staplers, etc.). + Proven ability in achieving excellent precision and strong attention to detail while working under pressure. + The ability to read production design paperwork and effectively communicate with clients and coworkers. + A self-motivated attitude and the ability to work as a team player while effectively conveying instructions.
