Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Stockton, California. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations within the transport industry. The role requires a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and an ability to manage accounts payable processes effectively. Responsibilities: u2022 Process vendor invoices and accurately input them into the accounting system. u2022 Review batch proofs to ensure all financial data has been entered correctly. u2022 Submit verified batch proofs for approval and posting. u2022 Perform data entry for accounts payable and journal entries with precision. u2022 Maintain organized records of financial transactions for auditing purposes. u2022 Collaborate with the finance team to address discrepancies in invoices or payments. u2022 Assist in reconstructing financial data for specified time periods. u2022 Support accounts receivable processes as needed. u2022 Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to manage financial data effectively.
