Job Summary and Qualifications We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist on a full-time basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to: + u00b7 Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans + u00b7 Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders and record dosages accordingly + u00b7 Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film + u00b7 Position patients and adjust immobilization devices + u00b7 Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address any concerns + u00b7 Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation + u00b7 May assist with transporting patients as needed Qualifications: + Associate Degree + Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program + Clear/active State of Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) + Current Nuclear Medicine credential: NMTCB or ARRT (N) + Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required + Current basic life support (BLS) certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire + Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs Benefits HCA Florida Brandon Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
