Description We are looking for an experienced Credit and Collections Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee credit and collections operations, ensuring financial stability and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in credit analysis, collections, and customer account management. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and manage the collection of overdue invoices and credits, adhering to company policies to maximize profitability. u2022 Conduct thorough credit evaluations for new customers, including gathering credit histories, banking references, and engaging with credit references. u2022 Collaborate with the Credit & Collections Manager to analyze customer credit data and recommend appropriate credit limits. u2022 Establish and maintain customer accounts in the company system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. u2022 Communicate credit approvals or denials to the Sales Team with clear justifications. u2022 Process lien waivers by verifying outstanding balances and ensuring compliance. u2022 Execute collection strategies for assigned regions, negotiating payment agreements, resolving disputes, and coordinating with collection agencies as needed. u2022 Monitor overdue accounts, negotiate payment terms, and establish guidelines for final payment demands. u2022 Ensure compliance with credit issuance processes and obtain required approvals. u2022 Provide accurate information to third-party collections and lien filing partners, recommending legal actions when necessary. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections management. u2022 Strong skills in credit analysis, including the ability to assess banking references and financial histories. u2022 Proven ability to approve credit limits and manage aging reports effectively. u2022 Expertise in consumer collections and negotiating payment agreements. u2022 Familiarity with relevant software systems, such as Infor Syteline or similar platforms. u2022 Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external partners. u2022 Ability to meet or exceed performance metrics related to credit and collections. u2022 Highly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to safeguarding customer account information.
