Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Shelby, North Carolina. This role involves managing critical accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a keen eye for detail to optimize financial reporting and compliance. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee and execute month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion. u2022 Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper financial reporting. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries, verifying all transactions meet accounting standards. u2022 Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial statements and bank records. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making. u2022 Monitor compliance with financial regulations and company policies. u2022 Assist in preparing detailed financial reports and analyses. u2022 Provide recommendations to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency. u2022 Support audits by supplying accurate documentation and responding to inquiries. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management. u2022 Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and tools. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. u2022 Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently. u2022 Solid knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. u2022 Effective communication and collaboration skills. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
