Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will handle key accounting functions such as managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close processes. This position is ideal for someone who excels in working with accounting software and thrives in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors. u2022 Manage accounts receivable by monitoring incoming payments and maintaining accurate records. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial transactions. u2022 Maintain the general ledger by recording and reviewing journal entries. u2022 Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing necessary reports. u2022 Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to manage financial data. u2022 Analyze financial discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. u2022 Support audits by providing relevant documentation and ensuring compliance. u2022 Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and workflows. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. u2022 Expertise in performing bank reconciliations and journal entries. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP. u2022 Strong understanding of month-end close processes and financial reporting. u2022 Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work effectively within a team and independently. u2022 Strong organizational and communication skills.
