Chemo infusion RN - Caldwell at Trinity Health in Nampa, Idaho, United States Job Description Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: We are seeking to hire a Registered Nurse for our Medical Group -Caldwell Medical Oncology Clinic As an RN at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will provide hands-on patient care while collaborating with colleagues, maintaining accurate documentation, and utilizing resources wisely. You will serve as a patient advocate by promoting their physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. You will also be expected to educate patients, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and develop care plans based on patient needs. About this Position : RNs working in the Medical Oncology clinic are paired with one physician, one APP, and an MA to manage care for our most vulnerable patients. This role completes patient assessments and works directly with the physician. You would enjoy a full-time days schedule with no nights and no weekends. We are looking for a high performing, self-starter, and team player for this position You will safely verify, administer chemo, immunotherapy, hydration, blood products, and symptom-management medications. You will also evaluate patients throughout infusion for toxicity, side effects, and overall tolerance. You will also teach patients and families about treatment expectations, side effects, home care, and when to call the clinic Schedule: Monday- Friday, variable day off each week; 36 hours/week. General Requirements: RN: General Requirements: + Nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. Education: + An associate or bachelor’s degree from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE License/Certification: + Must have an RN license in the state of Idaho issued prior to hire date. + Must provide licensure or proof of application in the State of Oregon within six months of starting + Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire + Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification within 6 months of hire + Must maintain 6 CEU’s in oncology per year.
