Senior Backend Mobile AI Engineer

Job Description Weu2019re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a mobile application team supporting a customeru2011facing app at scale. This role is ideal for a strong problem solver who has fully embraced modern AIu2011assisted development tools and can independently take ownership of complex backend work from concept through production. While the teamu2019s current backend stack includes Golang and AWS, we are far more focused on system design strength, scale experience, and AI fluency than on any single programming language. This is a senior individual contributor role, partnering closely with the team lead and helping take architectural and design work off their plate. Own backend features and services endu2011tou2011end for customeru2011facing mobile applications Design and build highu2011throughput, scalable backend systems (languageu2011agnostic: Go, Java, etc.) Partner with Product, QA, and Frontend teams in an agile environment (2u2011week sprints) Take work that is not fully sliced into detailed tickets and drive it from concept to delivery Participate in system design discussions and lead exploration for new features, returning with clear recommendations Review pull requests and collaborate with 3 other backend engineers Actively work through backlog items including new features and technical debt Participate in a light onu2011call rotation (approximately one week per month) to support production systems Must be willing to work EST hours Compensation: $70/hr to $80/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
