Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing key accounting functions and supporting the organizationu2019s financial operations. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will contribute to strategic initiatives and collaborate with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead the month-end close process, including reviewing and analyzing financial results. u2022 Prepare and review monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. u2022 Create detailed internal and external financial reports and analyses as needed. u2022 Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely month-end reporting. u2022 Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting team members to support their development. u2022 Support capital budgeting and expenditure planning to align with organizational goals. u2022 Collaborate with external auditors and facilitate the delivery of requested documentation. u2022 Conduct research on complex accounting issues and develop policies to address them. u2022 Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting function. u2022 Assist with partnership tax filings, including the preparation of K-1 forms. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 3u20135 years of accounting experience, with preference for candidates with Big Four backgrounds. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes, journal entries, and general ledger management. u2022 Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to analyze complex data sets. u2022 Experience with internal controls and conducting accounting research. u2022 Strong technical expertise in accounting areas such as revenue recognition and business combinations. u2022 Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. u2022 A Masteru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. u2022 Active CPA license is highly desirable.
