The Project Manager works with software vendors, service providers, OIT teams and DAS business to efficient management of projects and IT changes across the environment. These are generally small to large projects and represent a significant impact to the DAS productivity and service delivery. Responsibilities: u00b7 Under general supervision, manages and/or coordinates all tasks for small, medium, and large-sized project(s) of moderate to high complexity and risk. u00b7 Manages and/or provides project management consultation for all aspects of the project through the project management and software development life cycle. u00b7 Works closely with the DAS business leads, vendor project managers, business analysts, and subject matter experts on the various system support teams. u00b7 Manages the project as scoped by the SOWs, vendor Contracts and project steering committee. u00b7 During initiation, helps clients determine the best approaches for reaching objectives; during planning, develops project management tools including plans for scope management, risk management, communications, change control, and performance measurement and tracking. u00b7 During execution, monitors performance and reports to leadership teams on project status and pertinent issues, including major milestones and potential project risks. u00b7 Provides continuing direction to the project team, conducts status meetings, assesses proposed changes in scope, and recommends courses of action to project sponsors during the execution phase. u00b7 Near the end of the project, employs product verification process to make sure that the project has delivered what the client expected and performs a lesson learned for all projects. Job Duties: u00b7 Oversees and controls ongoing costs, schedules, resources, scope, issues and risks. Develops or reviews time and cost estimates, project plans/schedules, and budgets. u00b7 Facilitate critical process assessments and redesign for process improvements. u00b7 Work with the project steering committee and senior project management to improve project processes towards productive outcomes. u00b7 Directs project team members to take necessary action steps to achieve the goals and objectives of the project. u00b7 Work with business leads, vendor PMs and quality assurance teams to utilize established project standards, procedures, and quality objectives. u00b7 Chairs, manages, or facilitates project kickoff meetings, communicating individual roles and project expectations. Ensure that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively. u00b7 Manage scope by using a variety of data sources to support project negotiations related to time, cost, and/or quality. u00b7 Develops, monitors and coordinates project activities, such as scheduling, tracking, and reporting; leads change efforts impacting the projects. u00b7 Works with OIT leadership, business leads and vendor teams to identify specific opportunities or weakness within DAS projects and makes specific change recommendations to structures, processes, or people to improve project performance. u00b7 Provides work direction and leadership to DAS projects, including scheduling, task completions, and review of project efforts. u00b7 Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule.
