This role is responsible for performing quality control tests on mechanical and electrical systems integral to Nalco’s pretreatment equipment and chemical dosing offerings.What’s in it For You:The opportunity to take on some of the world’s most meaningful challenges, helping customers achieve clean water, safe food, and healthy environmentsThe ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growthThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives and ideas to achieve our bestComprehensive benefits package starting day one of employment including medical, dental, vision, matching 401k, company paid pension, stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement and more!Click Here to see our benefits.What You Will Do: Perform hydrostatic, mechanical, and electrical tests on equipment based on standard procedures and document test resultsTroubleshoot, and potentially fix, issues that arise during testingUpload, configure, debug and troubleshoot programmable logic controller (PLC) programs and related control logic on equipmentUse and install meters, power supplies, hoses, and other testing equipmentCritically evaluate quality standardsInterface with equipment design engineers to ensure electrical, mechanical, and control system tests are sufficientRead and interpret mechanical and electrical drawingsOversee quality testing department to ensure schedule, quality, and safety standards are metUse overhead crane and safe rigging and maneuvering of loads in support of the various equipment assembly and preparation for shipment activitiesOperate a forklift and pallet jackOther duties as assignedPosition Details:Plant location: Glenwood, ILWork week and shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PMCompensation package offered: $30.00 / hourMinimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent3 years of experience in an equipment assembly or electrical-related assignment3 years of experience working on industrial equipment utilizing computerized (PLC) control systems to perform process operationsExperience using hand and power tools and basic size/weight measuring devicesExperience using electrical process calibration tools, including multi-meters, signal generators, and amprobesExperience with low voltage AC (No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunityPhysical Demands: This position requires regularly lifting and carrying 50lbsThe work is performed in a shop environment (with exposure to dust, noise, odors)Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a quality control related assignmentNFPA 70E certification within the last five yearsSkilled trade degree or certification (Industrial Electrician training)Experience operating water pretreatment equipmentAbility to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawingsKnowledge of electrical safety, electrical code requirements and common types of control equipmentAbility to wire simple circuitry and perform point-to-point terminationsBasic computer skills (i.e., data entry, internet, e-mail, etc.)Good communication skillsAbility to work independentlyAnnual or Hourly Compensation RangeThe pay range for this position is $45,700.00 - $68,600.00.
