Pharmacy Technician - Community

Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist in the ambulatory/outpatient setting. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work assist in preparing medications for patients. While you may not interact with patients directly every day, your efforts will make a meaningful difference in their lives and treatments. A caregiver in this position will work primarily between 7:00am and 8:00pm, with 8- or 10-hour shifts. The Twinsburg site is closed on weekends and holidays; weekend work opportunities can be held at the Euclid Ave. facility. This PRN position also supports other sites including our Beachwood, Marymount, Hillcrest and Willoughby facilities. A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems. + Fill medications carts daily. + Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department. + Repackage bulk medications. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED. Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application: + Must hold an active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP). + It is required, within 18 months from the date of hire: Must obtain a national certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) AND Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy u200b Please note: A status as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with OBOP does not qualify for this role.
