Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Grayslake, Illinois. This role is vital in ensuring accurate and timely management of accounts payable and receivable, while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, vendors, and customers. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the accounting department's smooth operations and adherence to company standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision and supporting documentation. u2022 Collaborate with various departments to address and resolve accounting-related inquiries and issues. u2022 Reconcile accounts and perform ad hoc analyses in coordination with the accounting manager. u2022 Enter and update invoices in the company's accounting system. u2022 Maintain vendor statements to confirm receipt of invoices and payments. u2022 Communicate with vendors and customers to ensure accurate account management. u2022 Ensure compliance with organizational policies and internal accounting standards. u2022 Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation as needed. u2022 Support the accounting team in maintaining accurate records and efficient workflows. u2022 Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy. Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid time off all provided Requirements u2022 An associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred. u2022 At least two years of accounting experience, with a solid understanding of general ledger accounts and accounting principles. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. u2022 Familiarity with accounting system software, such as Yardi, is advantageous. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable and receivable processes effectively. u2022 Strong skills in data entry and invoice processing. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
