Eatonu2019s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Quality Tech - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $21-25 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Core hours for this role are 3:30pm to 2:00am Monday - Thursday with occasional OT on Friday. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. Position Overview: The Quality Technician will be primarily responsible for validation and production inspections of all products produced from manufacturing and assembly processes, proper use and maintenance of measurement tools and equipment Essential Duties & Responsibilities + Performs incoming receiving inspection + Measure parts to ensure that they are within specifications using Calipers, Micrometers, Comparators + Perform random quality audits + Notify Product Manager and others of quality issues + Maintains QC hold room, monitors status with the intent of timely disposition with other QC personal + Ensure that other employees are aware of proper quality inspection activities + Adhere to all company guidelines + Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management. Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution required Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience (QC) and manufacturing environment preferred Skills: + Ability to read & interpret Blueprints + Basic Knowledge of GD&T + Preferred Knowledge of Micro-vuu2019 OGP and Keyence Vision inspection equipment + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills. + Intermediate skill in Office Suite Work Environment: the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
