Weld Shop Associate Location: DeKalb, IL Pay Rate: $19-$20+ per hour based on experience Shift Type: Full-time, Monday - Thursday: 6 AM - 4:30 PM OVERTIME AVAILABLE ON FRIDAYS, AS NEEDED. Job Description: As a Weld Shop Associate, you will be an integral part of our operations, contributing to the success of our projects through your dedication and consistent hard work. You will complete a variety of physical tasks to support our team in completing projects efficiently and effectively. This position requires a strong work ethic, physical ability, and capability to work well in a team environment. Responsibilities: Prepare welding materials Clean metals with acetone Grind imperfections out of metals Packaging custom orders Load and unload machines May operate Planishing Machine to solidify weld or trim/grind off excess. Assist with the Laser Machine set up “De-skeleton” or grind down metal after being run through the machine. TIG welding Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Machine Shop experience a plus. Manual dexterity - good with hands-on tasks. Detail oriented with excellent eyesight. Ability to multitask or be responsible for multiple duties.
