This leaderwill support our unique collection of Hyatt Hotels, comprised of Hyatt at Olive 8 and Hyatt Regency Seattle. _As a_ Great Place to Work in the U.S. ( _for twelve years running, Hyatt is an award-winning culture where you can bring your whole self to work every day, coupled with benefits that empower you to defy expectations and seek excellence._ The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising and supporting the daily maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, systems, and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and guest comfort. This role provides hands-on technical leadership across preventive maintenance, work order execution, life-safety readiness, and coordination with other departments. The Facilities Maintenance Manager helps ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations while maintaining Hyatt standards and operational uptime. Key Responsibilities Facilities & Maintenance Operations u00b7 Perform and/or oversee repairs and maintenance for guestrooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and building systems. u00b7 Support preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, life-safety systems, and other critical infrastructure. u00b7 Respond promptly to service requests and guestroom maintenance calls; ensure high-quality workmanship and minimal disruption to guests. u00b7 Participate in room inspections and identify opportunities to improve reliability, energy performance, and asset condition. u00b7 Familiarity with life-safety systems (fire alarm panels, sprinklers, emergency generators, elevatorsu2014coordination and oversight). u00b7 General understanding of reading blueprints from various trades. Supervision & Team Support u00b7 Provide day-to-day guidance and lead direction to engineering colleagues in accordance with hotel and department policies. u00b7 Support shift coverage planning, task assignments, and effective handoffs between shifts. u00b7 Assist with onboarding and on-the-job training for tools, procedures, safety practices, and equipment operation. Life Safety, Compliance & Risk Management u00b7 Support hotel readiness for inspections and audits (fire/life safety, elevator, boiler, pool/spa if applicable, health department support, etc.). u00b7 Ensure adherence to safety standards including lockout/tagout, ladder safety, confined space awareness, PPE usage, and chemical handling. u00b7 Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, PM logs, incident reporting, and work order completion. u00b7 Assist with emergency response procedures, including after-hours on-call support as required. Work Order Management & Coordination u00b7 Use the property work order system to document, prioritize, and close maintenance requests in a timely manner. u00b7 Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office to support room readiness, out-of-order tracking, and rapid resolution of defects. u00b7 Communicate effectively with hotel departments to coordinate tasks or projects in their areas. Vendor & Project Support u00b7 Assist leadership with coordination of contractors and vendors, including escorting, access control, and quality checks. u00b7 Support projects and renovations as assigned. u00b7 Help ensure proper storage, inventory control, and use of engineering tools, parts, and supplies. The annual salary range for this position is $80,169.00 to $95,700.00. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications, and education. Preferred Qualifications u00b7 Trade certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC/EPA, electrical, refrigeration, boiler/steam, building engineer credentialsu2014based on local requirements). u00b7 Experience in a large, high-rise, or luxury full-service hotel. u00b7 Familiarity with life-safety systems (fire alarm panels, sprinklers, emergency generators, elevatorsu2014coordination and oversight). u00b7 Strong understanding of energy management and sustainability best practices.
