Position:u00a0Safety CoordinatorReports to:u00a0Safety ManagerLocation:u00a0Columbus, OhioPay Range:u00a0$32.00 - $45.00 per hour (Eligible for overtime)We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.Superior is looking for a Construction Safety Coordinator to ensure that every team member on our job sites is safe and secure. This position will maintain safe conditions for people and property, assist with investigating accidents, and emergency response. This role is based on a jobsite in Columbus, Ohio.Key Responsibilities- Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the General Contractor and other trade partners- Assist with the collection of safety records following trainings sessionsu00a0- Document all injuries, incidents, and near misses- Signing daily paperwork to verify proper hazard and mitigation assessment- Monitor large construction sites and enforce compliance with government rules & regulations- Complete audits and daily reports describing activities completed, and issues, etc.- Stay up-to-date with safety policies and trends, i.e. meeting the latest safety standards and establishing new ones from time-to-time as newer risks are discovered- Attend all safety meetings on the job sitesYour Character Traits- You're passionate about all-things safety- You have a strong attention to detail- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills- You're a natural at conflict resolution and are calm under pressure- You're able to exercise confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive informationYour Expertise- Required: You have at least 1 year of safety experience in construction OR 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial construction site OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or completed an apprenticeship program)- Required: You have certification in First Aid/CPR- Required: You have completed the OSHA 10-hour construction training course- Bonus Points: You have completed the OSHA 30-hour construction training course- Bonus Points: You have a safety credential through the Board of Certified Safety Professionalsu00a0(e.g., CHST) or are actively working toward certification- Bonus Points: You have experience in electrical constructionOur BenefitsWe offer a range of professional and personal perks that you can enjoy as a member of Superior.
