As a Residential Living Manager, you willbe responsible to provide students with a safe and structured livingenvironment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievementand success. You will oversee the daily management of the residentialliving programs and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolvestudent and staff issues and problems.This role manages the non-class hour residential living environmentand ensures quality leadership and evening programming to enhancestudent's independent living and employability skills all whileensuring strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrityof student data. Our academic and career technicaltraining programs are accredited and lead to nationalindustry-recognized credentials.Position Duties Include:Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures nomanipulation of student data.Ensures Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance terviews, recommends for hire, disciplines, recommends for terminationand evaluates the performance of the employees in the Residential LivingDepartment.Responsible to provide students with quality and structured non-classhour activities including leadership, independent living skills andother special programs.Ensures that Center facilities are organized, clean, safe and conduciveto student achievement and success.Responsible for the behavior management system of the Center duringnon-class hours to ensure safety of staff and students.Coordinates staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised.Ensures all staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements.Works with the Human Resources Department to fill staff vacancies in atimely manner.Employs sound time-management and delegation skills. Holds staffaccountable for producing quality work, develops staff for careerprogression and disciplines staff that fail to meet goals.Provides required/supplemental training for new and current employees.Effectively motivates, empowers and requires staff to perform his/herjob responsibilities. Motivates and manages staff to work effectively,creates a supportive work environment, recognizes staff accomplishmentsand proactively addresses staff performance concerns.Develops Center-beneficial linkages within the community for education,employment, Career Technical Training and WBL. Promotes a positive imageof the Center and Job Corps and establishes mea ingful relationshipswith elected officials.Provides transportation as required.Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required bythe PRH.Provides high-quality supervision and management for the studentpopulation. Takes swift and appropriate action and positively influencesstudent behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds themaccountable for their actions and behavior.Provides quality programs and services for students and ensures thatquality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement andenhancement of programs and services.Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clearand concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts byoffering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timelyinformation to DOL/Company when requested.Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems,analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking orrecommending actions.
