You'll love it here Reporting to the Pharmacy supervisor and Pharmacy Research Manager, you will perform various technician functions pertaining to investigational drugs and clinical research. Some of these functions include: + Conduct protocol-related duties including: drug receipt, storage, dispensation, study monitoring and accountability + Perform medication dispensing activities to deliver outstanding patient care + Support the Pharmacy Supervisor in ensuring compliance to rules, policies and regulations + Cultivate and model professional, collaborative relationship with pharmacy staff, medical professionals, support, and administrative staff + Demonstrate effective problem-solving and organizational skills + Adapt to the challenges of a rapidly changing health care environment + Advance a patient-centric focus to treat illness with integrity, innovation, and commitment Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Hourly Salary Rate: $36.96 (Pharmacy Technician I Per Diem) or $43.96 (Pharmacy Technician II Per Diem) + Pharmacy Technician I Per Diem (9279): Less than 2 years of experience + Pharmacy Technician II Per Diem (9278): Equal to or more than 2 years of experience Bargaining Unit: EX - AFSCMEQualifications We're seeking a strong pharmacy technician with: + CA Pharmacy technician license - required + Ability to compound chemotherapy utilizing departmental guidelines for the preparation/distribution of cytotoxic agents- required + At least 1 year of IV sterile compounding pharmacy experience- required + Ability to accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations. + Ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments with minimal supervision. + Skill in computer order entry. + Ability to lift 25 lbs and push 50 lbs.UCLA Health welcomes all individuals, without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin or disabilities, and we proudly look to each personu2019s unique achievements and experiences to further set us apart.
