Summary It is the responsibility of the Sewing Laborer to operate a sewing machine to join parts of fabricated textile products, canvas products, and trimmed and stamped art goods: May also insert wire or draw-string cord under edge of material to fabricate articles. Professionaly interacts with customers, team members, and third-party vendor/partner relationships to provide the highest level of customer service. Support a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures, taking personal responsibility for safety, reporting hazards or concerns promptly, and contributing to a culture that prioritizes safety every day. This position will support our Event & Exhibit Services team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Dallas, TX. Essential Duties & Responsibilities + Operate sewing machinery to meet the needs of the service show. + Occasional stitching by hand. + Stitch binding tape or zippers to exposed edges of all facets of materials including, silk, denim, cotton, canvas, etc. + Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience + High School or equivalent. + Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and applicable OSHA requirements. + Ability to consistently follow safety rules and contribute to a positive safety culture. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations OSHA 10 Certification required.
