General Shop Technician

DEERFIELD General Shop Technician Wind Energy R&D Shop XFlow Energy Deerfield, MA $25-$40/hr Depending on Experience - Flexible Hours We build small wind turbines and take on hands-on R&D and prototyping contracts. Our shop does a little of everything: metalwork, composites, mechanical assembly, painting, and testing. We need someone who likes to stay busy, isn't afraid to get dirty, and takes pride in a well-run shop. Day to day: Equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting Mechanical assembly of prototypes and test rigs Painting, surface prep, and adhesive work Receiving deliveries and materials handling Keeping the shop clean and organized Bonus points for: Machining, welding, or metalwork Fiberglass and composites Auto or equipment mechanics Industrial painting or coatings Basic electrical (wiring, troubleshooting) Forklift certification No single background required.
