Eatonu2019s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking a Materials Supervisor. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $120K a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This role requires working on-site M-F in Raleigh, NC .. with work hours 6 am - 2pm. What youu2019ll do: Primary Function: As a Material Supervisor, you will be an integral member of Eaton's manufacturing leadership team, with responsibilities in Plant Logistic/ Material and Shipping related functions. Essential Responsibilities: u2022 You will provide direct supervision for the plant receiving, shipping, and material handling team u2022 Manage movement of shipments from shipping and receiving functions to plant warehouse area, the Raleigh Distribution Center and third-party warehouse providers u2022 Manage internal warehouse to include kitting operations, cycle count program and provide required reporting to operations and finance management u2022 Identify and implement process improvements in materials management to support ERP/MRP excellence and standardized execution of activities. u2022 Instill and maintain transactional discipline related to material movement u2022 Responsible for developing and implementing optimal warehouse layout to support Lean Manufacturing goals u2022 Work with quality and suppliers to identify packaging concerns to avoid inbound freight damage u2022 Monitor goods movements with errors and work with manufacturing team to resolve u2022 You will participate in employment, staffing and performance management decisions, and maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance. u2022 You will provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development. u2022 You will drive plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives stemming from RPO Key Projects and others as deemed by Focus Factory and Plant Managers u2022 You will maintain all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules. u2022 You will champion the use of Eaton systems and tools to ensure appropriate execution within assigned areas u2022 You will engage employees in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving. u2022 You will implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture. u2022 You will foster an environment that promotes Eatonu2019s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 3 yearsu2019 experience in Manufacturing Operations, Distribution, or Engineering in a manufacturing environment ..OR. HS with 5 years of same experience. u2022 Minimum 1 years of direct manufacturing supervisory experience. u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Previous experience involving manufacturing plant receiving, shipping, and material handling . u2022 Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP shipping, receiving and stock room processes. u2022 Warehouse management system (WMS) experience. u2022 Forklift certification u2022 Lean Six Sigma/ Continuous improvement project experience. u2022 Effective people management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize several concurrent projects. u2022 Effective English written and verbal communication skills. Position Criteria: u2022 Ability to successfully interface with all organizational levels & departments. u2022 Good understanding and positive support of standard personnel and administrative policies, practices and legal requirements pertaining to business operations. u2022 Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, manage through conflict, and strive for continuous improvement. u2022 Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems and engineering processes. u2022 Must be open and available to work overtime as needed. Skills: Position Criteria: u2022 Ability to successfully interface with all organizational levels & departments u2022 Good understanding and positive support of standard personnel and administrative policies, practices and legal requirements pertaining to business operations u2022 Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, manage through conflict, and strive for continuous improvement u2022 Must be open and available to work weekend overtime as needed. u2022 Required working knowledge and experience with computers.
