Quality Assurance Technician Location: Boulder, CO Pay: $22u2013$26/hour (DOE) Type: Temp-to-Hire Shifts Available u2022 Mondayu2013Friday: 6:00 AM u2013 6:30 PM About the Role This role supports precision optics manufacturing where quality is critical at every stage. As a Quality Assurance Technician, youu2019ll perform hands-on inspections, verify measurements, and ensure components meet strict specifications before moving forward in production. The work spans both the manufacturing floor and lab-style inspection environments, offering variety and technical depth. What Youu2019ll Do u2022 Inspect optical surfaces using established visual inspection criteria u2022 Use handheld tools and automated measurement equipment to verify part dimensions u2022 Inspect complex optics and assemblies, including inspection equipment setup u2022 Read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and specifications u2022 Review process sheets, coating data, interferometer scans, and material certifications u2022 Complete First Article Inspections with minimal supervision u2022 Document inspection results and identify nonconforming material u2022 Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve issues and share improvement ideas u2022 Support process improvement efforts through data collection and testing u2022 Assist with training and mentoring junior QA and Manufacturing Technicians What You Bring u2022 High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred u2022 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, QA, or QC in a manufacturing environment u2022 Confidence using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment u2022 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications u2022 Familiarity with GDT (ANSI Y14.5) a plus u2022 Strong math skills and attention to detail u2022 Clear, accurate documentation habits Why This Role Stands Out This is an opportunity to work in a precision-focused optical manufacturing environment where quality drives everything.
