The Social Worker will work collaboratively with all hospital staff and RMH staff to best support families during their stay and connect families to organizations that provide assistance and other needed services.u00a0Essential Job FunctionsProvide support to families staying at the House by:u00a0- Provide supportive counseling and ongoing psychosocial support to families during their stay as needed- Provide a supportive and culturally competent environment to the diverse families, children, staff, and volunteers at Ronald McDonald House Ann Arbor- Connect families to needed resources- Communicate and collaborate with hospital social workers on an ongoing basis to take referrals, place families in guest rooms or hotel rooms, and obtain medical updates- Ensure that families abide by House rules and policies for the safety of everyone in the House- Facilitate caregiver support groups- Conduct new family welcome meetings, as needed- Crisis intervention with families, as needed- Manage and facilitate Family Support Council (FSC) Committee, including administrative tasks```{=html}```- Collaborate with the Family Services & Program Director to identify, coordinate, and implement additional family support services. Track and report findings and metrics related to FSC activities.```{=html}```- Encourage families to participate in House programs, including educational and fun activities for caregivers and siblings- Support families across a broad section of the continuum of care, including after their stay has concluded- Complete all documentation accurately and timely, including notes in Family RegistryEducation, Qualifications, and Experienceu00a0u00a0An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be consideredu00a0- A Master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.- Current license to practice social work in the State of Michigan.
