JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description FrontLine Building Products in Green Bayis seeking a detail-oriented CAD Design Product Specialist to supportthe design, development, and technical documentation of our buildingproduct lines. This role bridges the product design, engineering, andcustomer support by creating accurate CAD drawings, productspecifications, and technical solutions to meet both manufacturingstandards and customer requirements. Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Create, modify, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CADdrawings for our manufactured building products. Developproduct-specific shop drawings, layouts, and installation details.Collaborate with engineering, sales, production, and project teams toensure design accuracy and feasibility. Customize and organize CADlibraries, standards, and revision control. Support new productdevelopment through design concepts, prototypes, and technicaldocumentation. Review drawings for compliance with industry standards,building codes, and company specifications. Provide technical support tointernal teams and customers regarding product design and application.Test selected products at specified stages in the production process forperformance characteristics or adherence to specifications. Compile andevaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality andreliability of products. Study time, motion, methods, or speed involvedin maintenance, production, or other operations to establish standardproduction rate or improve efficiency. Read worker logs, productprocessing sheets, or specification sheets to verify that records adhereto quality assurance specifications. Verify that equipment is beingoperated and maintained according to quality assurance standards byobserving worker performance. Adhere to all applicable regulations,policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmentalcompliance. Analyze, estimate, or report production costs. Assistengineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or newproducts, processes, or procedures. Calibrate or adjust equipment toensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers,height gauges, protractors, or ring gauges. Create or interpretengineering drawings, schematic diagrams, formulas, or blueprints formanagement or engineering staff. Develop production, inventory, orquality assurance programs. Identify opportunities for improvements inquality, cost, or efficiency of automation equipment. Monitor and adjustproduction processes or equipment for quality and productivity. Overseeor inspect production processes. Prepare layouts, drawings, or sketchesof machinery or equipment, such as shop tooling, scale layouts, or newequipment design, using drafting equipment or computer-aided design(CAD) software. Prepare production documents, such as standard operatingprocedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, orproductivity reports. Recommend corrective or preventive actions toassure or improve product quality or reliability. OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements Education and Experience:Associate's or bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering,Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years ofexperience in CAD design, preferably with building products,construction, or manufacturing. Proficiency in CAD software such asAutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar platforms. Strong understandingof construction drawings, materials, and manufacturing processes.Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
