All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: PRNShift:Day (United States of America)Address:500 REMINGTON BLVDCity:BOLINGBROOKState:IllinoisPostal Code:60440Job Description:* Schedule: PRN - Rotating shifts, holidays - 4 shifts per month and a minimum of 1 weekend per monthAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely. Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques. Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed. Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff. Other duties as assigned. Performs radiographic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards. Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner. Performs imaging with correct patient demographic and examination information. Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.Assists patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma• Previous Radiologic Technologist experience [Preferred]• One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionalsEducation:• Associate [Preferred]• Bachelor's [Preferred]• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]Field of Study:• N/AWork Experience:•1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology programAdditional Information:Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
