You’ll set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment for meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events, ensuring every detail runs smoothly. Working closely with our events and operations teams, you’ll provide on-site technical support, maintain equipment, and uphold the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise will help deliver unforgettable experiences for our guests in West Palm Beach’s only waterfront luxury hotel.Audio-Visual Setup and Operation:Ensure the successful execution of events through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment.Support basic Information Technology related needs throughout the Hotel.Assist IT & Audio-Visual Support Manager with Hotel projects, client relations and Audio-Visual department development.Customer Service:Strive to exceed the expectations of both internal and external clients.Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients through clear and professional communication.Meet with clients on-site to confirm their needs are met and ensure equipment setup is functioning correctly.Monitor ongoing events and check in with clients throughout the day to ensure satisfaction.Build and maintain strong relationships with the hotel and client teams.Conducting yourself in a professional manner in fast-pace and high-pressure environments.Technical Proficiency:Demonstrate a confident understanding of the technical aspects of audiovisual equipment and software.Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or software issues quickly and professionally.Address equipment challenges while maintaining a high level of professionalism.Familiarity and basic understanding of Audio, Video, Lighting & Web Conferencing Services required.System Proficiency:Selling, Planning and Executing Audio-Visual Services with guidance of the Audio-Visual & IT Support Manager.Use equipment inventory to determine scheduled setups and breakdowns, collaborating with banquet and sales staff as needed.Increase revenue with extensive knowledge and anticipation of a client’s Audio-Visual requirements.Finalize AV orders prior to Event date, properly execute events, and bill the client accordingly upon completion.Education/Formal TrainingHighschool Diploma or EquivalentExperiencePrior audio/visual experience preferredKnowledge/SkillsFamiliar with audio visual conceptsExcellent Guest ServiceExperience with audio, video, control systems and like technologyExperience in systems integrationFamiliar with personal computers, servers, and like technologyPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
