As an Instructional Aide, youu2019ll work closely with teachers and special education teams to provide classroom, instructional, and personal-care support that helps students succeed in a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment. What Youu2019ll Do + Support classroom instruction by reinforcing teacher-designed lessons, assisting with small-group or 1:1 work, and helping students stay engaged and on task. + Assist with classroom activities, visual supports, academic accommodations, and structured routines. + Observe student engagement and progress, sharing key updates with teachers and school staff. + Assist students throughout the school dayu2014including transitions, recess, lunch, and other campus activities. + Maintain confidentiality and follow all district protocols regarding student information. + Support individualized learning and therapeutic programs created by teachers, specialists, and service providers (e.g., SLP, OT, PT). + Promote student independence through assistance with self-care routines such as toileting, hygiene, dressing, and feeding when needed. + Contribute to classroom operations by preparing materials, organizing supplies, making copies, and assisting with basic clerical tasks.
