Job Title: Phlebotomist Job Description Exhibit proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, including pediatric blood collections and difficult draws in medical office buildings. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety, effectively communicating its importance to other employees. Provide orientation and training for patient services. Responsibilities + Perform blood collection from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques. + Handle pediatric blood collections and manage difficult draws. + Ensure compliance with safety standards and communicate their importance to staff. + Provide orientation and training to new staff in patient services. Essential Skills + High School Diploma + CPT 1 License + 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting, including pediatric, ICU, and high-volume environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must be open to being called and working the same day. + Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. + Flexibility to respond to same-day call-outs. Work Environment This is an on-call lab phlebotomist position. The role requires flexibility, as shifts are often same-day call-outs due to the union agreement, which prioritizes current employees. The position involves working across various locations, including Kaiser Riverside, Moreno Valley, and MOB locations. Training will occur on 1st shift, Monday-Friday, at a single location for the initial weeks. The dress code is scrubs, and hours vary across all shifts, including weekends. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
