Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a growing organization in Lindenhurst, New York. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the organization while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounts receivable processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cash applications, and billing functions. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and monitor accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing. u2022 Process and apply cash payments accurately to customer accounts. u2022 Reconcile discrepancies in accounts and investigate payment issues to ensure accurate financial records. u2022 Collaborate with internal departments to streamline billing functions and improve workflows. u2022 Generate reports detailing accounts receivable activity and provide updates to management. u2022 Maintain organized documentation of transactions and communications for audit purposes. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts receivable. u2022 Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to address inquiries and ensure smooth operations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts receivable u2022 Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. u2022 Proficiency in financial software and tools used for accounts receivable functions. u2022 Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams. u2022 Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records. u2022 Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in all transactions. u2022 Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable.
