Job Title: Quality Technician Job Description As a Quality Technician, you will perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. You will utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and coordinate measuring machines to assess product dimensions and tolerances. Your role will involve analyzing inspection data and preparing reports detailing findings, trends, and recommendations for corrective actions. Collaboration with production teams to address quality issues and implement process improvements will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will maintain documentation related to quality systems, including inspection records, test results, and non-conformance reports, participate in internal audits to ensure adherence to quality management standards, and support the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols in line with ISO standards. Responsibilities + Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. + Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and coordinate measuring machines. + Analyze inspection data and prepare reports detailing findings, trends, and recommendations. + Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement process improvements. + Maintain documentation related to quality systems, including inspection records and test results. + Participate in internal audits to ensure adherence to quality management standards. + Support the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols in line with ISO standards. Essential Skills + 1+ years of proven experience in a quality technician or similar role within a manufacturing or production environment. + Ability to read blueprints and have some understanding of GD&T. + Proficient in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages). + Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of independence. + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. + High school diploma or GED required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in weld inspection preferred. + AWS Certification preferred but not required. + Trade school or vocational training a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work hours are from 5am-3:30pm, with early dismissal at 1:30pm on Fridays. The position requires flexibility to work 48-55 hours a week. The role involves using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges in a manufacturing environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Streetsboro, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
