Job Description As a Software Engineer II, you will be leading the effort to develop, enhance, and support applications in a fast-paced development environment, while working with senior members of the staff on medium to large sized projects in a diverse range of topics to produce deliverables. You will be maintaining and modernizing our existing systems as well as working on new applications. Working in our collaborative environment you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills while also acting as a mentor and guide a team of software engineers on development best practices and ensure code quality through code reviews. MOCA is mix of scripting and reporting (SQL/oracle) Penske uses. Comparable WMS platforms: Manhattan, HighJump, Red Prairie, Reporting tools: Jasper / Crystal Reports Core Development technologies: Java, SQL / Oracle, Linux, Web-based UI: CSS / HTML Need for developers who can: navigate WMS platforms, bridge SQL + Java, support reporting modernization Qualifications: u2022u2003Bacheloru2019s degree in computer science/computer engineering or equivalent years of software development experience u2022u20038-10 yearsu2019 experience of appropriate programming languages u2013 years are flexible u2022u2003Strong SQL Query development u2022u2003MOCA and Groovy development for the Blue Yonder WMS team. u2022u20031-2 years of experience working with Agile teams u2022u2003Knowledge of technical project management u2022u2003In-depth knowledge of appropriate design frameworks and patterns and experience in implementing them in software development. u2022u2003Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices. u2022u2003Expert knowledge of the full system development lifecycle. u2022u2003Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and effectively in a cross-functional team environment (roughly 2-3 at a time) u2022u2003Ability to estimate and lead medium to large sized projects.
