Senior Forensic Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Forensic Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex financial data, conducting forensic investigations, and ensuring the integrity of accounting records. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in forensic accounting and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform detailed forensic analysis of financial records to identify discrepancies, fraud, or errors. u2022 Investigate and document bank transactions for a marital dispute u2022 Investigate credit card charges and transactions to detect anomalies or unauthorized activities. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to review and verify financial data. u2022 Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations. u2022 Maintain compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations. u2022 Conduct audits and provide expert insights into financial processes. u2022 Develop and implement strategies to prevent future financial discrepancies. u2022 Utilize forensic accounting tools and techniques to analyze complex datasets. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in forensic accounting or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in CAM reconciliation and ledger balance sheet accounts. u2022 Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies in financial data. u2022 Familiarity with investigating credit card charges and financial transactions. u2022 Knowledge of forensic analysis tools and methodologies. u2022 Excellent communication skills for preparing detailed reports and presenting findings. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. u2022 Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
