Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a Brookfield, Wisconsin area organization. In this role, you will handle various aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of maintaining compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies. u2022 Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers. u2022 Review and verify invoice details, including amounts and account codes, for accuracy. u2022 Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues. u2022 Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions. u2022 Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports for management review. u2022 Assist in month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts payable balances. u2022 Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company procedures. u2022 Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. u2022 Proficiency in invoice coding and processing procedures. u2022 Familiarity with conducting check runs and managing payment cycles. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors. u2022 Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. u2022 Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
