Description Sr. Accountant Our trusted client is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team on a long-term engagement in Novi, MI. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and managing intercompany transactions. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and have a strong attention to detail. This is an on-site role, with possible transition to hybrid after the training period. The day-to- day responsibilities include: u2022 Prepare and reconcile accounts during month-end close to ensure financial accuracy. u2022 Manage sales tax reporting and compliance. u2022 Update and maintain fixed assets records, including handling revaluations and system updates. u2022 Perform roll forwards and detailed reconciliations for financial accounts. u2022 Break down invoices and rent payments to allocate costs to appropriate general ledger accounts. u2022 Post weekly journal entries for intercompany transactions and ensure proper expense allocation. u2022 Distribute expense documentation to subsidiaries and maintain organized records. u2022 Collaborate on special projects, ensuring timely and precise execution of financial tasks. Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: u2022 Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on month-end close and reconciliations. u2022 Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries. u2022 Hands-on experience with fixed asset accounting and intercompany transactions. u2022 Strong analytical skills to handle account reconciliations and financial reporting. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software, such as Sage or similar platforms. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
