Job Description DAYu2011TOu2011DAY RESPONSIBILITIES Gear Center (Primary Focus) u2003u2022 Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and gear-manufacturing equipment (hobbing, honing, grinding) u2003u2022 Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and machining parameters u2003u2022 Perform machine setup verification and firstu2011piece validation u2003u2022 Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust programs, and maintain tight tolerance and surface finish requirements u2003u2022 Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, chucks, and workholding u2003u2022 Perform preventive maintenance and escalate mechanical/electrical issues as needed u2003u2022 Manage in-process material flow and tooling inventory to support prototype schedules u2003u2022 Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on tooling, fixturing, and process improvements Inspection / Metrology (Secondary) u2003u2022 Program and operate gear inspection systems (Gleason, Klingelnberg) u2003u2022 Program and operate CMM equipment for gears, shafts, bearings, housings, and drivetrain components u2003u2022 Perform surface finish inspections and open-setup measurements u2003u2022 Interpret inspection charts and generate inspection reports u2003u2022 Disposition nonconforming parts per client's Builtu2011Inu2011Quality requirements u2003u2022 Support root-cause analysis and data-driven corrective actions Eu2011Motor Lab Support u2003u2022 Support prototype and preu2011production electric motor builds u2003u2022 Assist with defect analysis, repair, and rework u2003u2022 Operate lab equipment including presses, welders, balancers, ovens, induction heaters, hiu2011pot/surge testers u2003u2022 Perform electrical and mechanical testing per authorized procedures u2003u2022 Support fixture modification and tooling fabrication as needed Compensation: $45/hr to $50/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
