Cost Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Greeley, Colorado. In this role, you will play a critical part in analyzing and managing financial data related to manufacturing operations, ensuring cost efficiency and accuracy. This position requires an individual with keen attention to detail and a strong background in cost accounting and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Develop and maintain standard cost accounting systems to track production expenses. u2022 Review and update cost structures to reflect changes in production methods or materials. u2022 Prepare detailed cost analysis reports to support decision-making processes. u2022 Collaborate with production and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency. u2022 Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual costs and budgeted amounts. u2022 Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing expenses. u2022 Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. u2022 Provide insights and recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement. u2022 Support audits and internal reviews by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. u2022 Strong understanding of standard cost accounting principles and practices. u2022 Proficiency in performing cost analysis and variance analysis. u2022 Familiarity with manufacturing operations and related financial processes. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. u2022 High level of attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
