Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Bedford, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating across departments on accounting matters. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage general ledger activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and leading the month-end close process. u2022 Conduct and oversee account reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and complete. u2022 Supervise banking operations, including cash reporting and bank reconciliations. u2022 Provide leadership and guidance to one staff accountant, ensuring their work aligns with organizational goals. u2022 Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards. u2022 Support audit processes by gathering and organizing necessary documentation. u2022 Utilize NetSuite to maintain and manage financial systems effectively. u2022 Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills, such as pivot tables and lookups, to analyze and report financial data. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management. u2022 Strong knowledge of account reconciliations and journal entries. u2022 Proficiency in NetSuite or similar financial management systems. u2022 Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including pivot tables and data analysis. u2022 Familiarity with financial statement audits and related documentation. u2022 Ability to manage banking activities, including cash reporting and reconciliations. u2022 Previous experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
