Job Title: Dietitian ManagerPosition Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dietitian Manager to lead and oversee Clinical Nutrition Services within our hospital. This leadership role combines project management responsibilities with serving as the lead dietitian. While the position includes limited pediatric clinical involvement, candidates with varying levels of pediatric experience are encouraged to apply. The Dietitian Manager will play a key role in driving quality nutrition care, supporting staff development, optimizing operational efficiency, and collaborating across departments to enhance patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations + Supervise the Formula Mixing Room, including staff training, policy and procedure oversight, and recipe management + Prepare and manage Clinical Nutrition staff schedules, payroll, and Kronos timekeeping + Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation for Clinical Nutrition staff + Serve as a preceptor and mentor for Dietetic Interns and students Clinical & Program Management + Serve as lead dietitian and oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of patient-centered nutrition care plans + Ensure accurate documentation of dietary history and nutrition care within the medical record + Coordinate and maintain the Diet Manual and Diet Notebook + Participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee meetings as the Clinical Nutrition representative + Coordinate Nutrition/Nursing Task Force meetings Quality & Strategic Initiatives + Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality assurance standards for food and nutrition services + Apply current research to support evidence-based clinical practice improvements + Collaborate with the Food Purchasing Manager in selecting medical nutrition products and negotiating contracts to optimize cost savings + Coordinate community nutrition education initiatives with Marketing and Community Benefits departments + Develop educational materials and provide nutrition education programs for healthcare professionals Required Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Systems Administration, or a related field (Masteru2019s degree preferred) + Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required + Licensed as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Tennessee + Compliance with continuing education requirements of the Commission on Dietetic Registration Preferred Qualifications + 3u20135 years of Clinical Nutrition Management experience + Pediatric or neonatal nutrition experience preferred Work Environment This position is primarily based in a professional office and clinical hospital setting, offering the opportunity to lead and enhance nutrition services within a collaborative healthcare environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
