We are seeking au00a0Conflicts Attorney to join our growing team that researches, reviews, and resolves conflict of interest issues related to Firm new business and lateral attorney hires.u00a0You will collaborate with Conflicts team members, the Firm's Ethics Counsel, Claims Counsel, Lawyer Recruiting and attorneys firm-wide to efficiently and effectively assist with matter openings, potential new hires and ongoing maintenance.u00a0This can be a fully remote position based out of Dorsey's Minneapolis, Denver, Seattle, Phoenix, or Salt Lake City office.Additional Responsibilities Include:-u00a0Research, review and analyze conflicts reports in order to accurately identify potential legal conflicts and business issues and assist attorneys in addressing or resolving them.-u00a0Identify potential conflicts of interest to ensure that new matters and lateral attorney hires are compliant with the firm's conflict and risk management policies and applicable rules of professional conduct.-u00a0Actively consult and advise firm attorneys regarding the status of conflicts clearance. Ensure timely matter opening.-u00a0Use the firm's specialized software and databases to review and clear potential conflicts. Document steps taken to resolve conflicts and ensure outside counsel documentation is up to date. Enter pertinent information into the conflicts system.-u00a0Assist with drafting of conflicts waivers and establishing ethics walls as requested.-u00a0Review engagement letters and assist with revisions to language to address conflicts and other ethics requirements.u00a0u00a0-u00a0Respond to attorney questions regarding potential conflicts of interest, conflict waivers and new business intake policies and procedures.u00a0u00a0-u00a0Review client outside counsel guidelines and assess the firm's ability to comply.-u00a0Study and stay current with laws and rules pertaining to conflicts of interest.-u00a0Assists in the preparation and delivery of training and orientation for attorneys and business professionals on conflicts, professional responsibility and related matter opening topics.-u00a0Perform various special projects and duties as assigned.What we're looking for:-u00a0JD from an ABA-accredited law school and an active bar membership in one or more states.-u00a0At least 2 years of experience with clearing conflicts, drafting waiver letters, reviewing and implementing outside counsel guidelines, and implementing ethical walls at a large law firm.-u00a0At least 2 years of experience with Intapp Conflicts.-u00a0At least 2 years of experience reviewing, clearing, and opening matters for Lateral-Hire Attorneys at a large law firm.-u00a0Highly developed and professional interpersonal skills and capability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization in various functions and locations.u00a0u00a0-u00a0Excellent written and spoken communication skills.u00a0-u00a0Exceptional tact, diligence and analytical rigor.-u00a0Advanced interpretation and problem-solving skills.-u00a0Knowledge of rules of professional responsibility.-u00a0Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.-u00a0Ability to communicate in writing and orally with lawyers and business professionals and other stakeholders to assist with the timely resolution of conflicts.-u00a0Strong writing and organizational skills.-u00a0Ability to understand how small details can be of critical importance.-u00a0Ability to manage time well and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.About Dorsey:Dorsey & Whitney is a global law firm with over 650 lawyers across 22 offices in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.
