Description Commercial Banking Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) has a crucial role as a strategic partner to Commercial Banking leaders, business management and senior stakeholders across Corporate Finance by providing quality analysis and reporting that generate insights into business trends and economics. The Asset Finance Group (AF) represents about 40% of the Commercial Bank and provides lending solutions underwritten to the specific needs of our clients, including equipment leasing, lender financing, warehouse lending and inventory financing. The Finance Segment/Region Liaison will be responsible for driving AF-wide deliverables across earnings, revenue / expense/ balance sheet resource analyses and competitor reporting, as well as coordination of projects to support AF covering all businesses and functions. This role will report to the CFO of Asset Finance. Job Description u00b7 Lead monthly general ledger pre-close process u00b7 Research and document variances u00b7 Partner with Corporate Accounting to ensure appropriate G/L entries are prepared and posted u00b7 Prepare written variance analysis and present verbally to stakeholders u00b7 Lead financial forecasting and budgeting process u00b7 Manage the annual budgeting and monthly/weekly forecasting process u00b7 Develop and maintain financial reporting & analysis tools u00b7 Lead personnel planning including coordination with Human Resources liaison to ensure forecast aligns with hiring plans u00b7 Manage business performance reporting and communications u00b7 Prepare and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports with written commentary and analysis on business performance u00b7 Ensure consistent delivery of data and information that supports written and verbal reporting u00b7 Develop materials for business communications u00b7 Govern financial reporting hierarchies u00b7 Partner with Strategy, Investor Relations, Finance and Business functions on various reporting and analytical needs for financial data u00b7 Drive relevant analysis to aid Business Unit Leaders in strategic decision making u00b7 Identify and analyze profitability drivers and work with CFO to create recommendations to Head of AF and other stakeholders u00b7 Support merger and acquisition (M&A) and other ad-hoc growth initiatives through financial analytics Basic Qualifications: u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Math, Accounting, etc.) u00b7 Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial support roles Preferred Qualifications: u00b7 Knowledge of Commercial Banking u00b7 Finance experience in the financial services industry u00b7 Proficiency in Excel, Essbase / Smart View, SAS desired u00b7 Able to multi-task effectively, be a self-starter, and be able to handle stress with composure and professionalism u00b7 Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with many levels of management u00b7 Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an understanding of the concept of materiality (i.e., knows when information is relevant) u00b7 Ability to proactively manage issues and assignments and move work forward with limited direction u00b7 Capable of managing changing priorities with ease and pois Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) Yes Workplace Type: Office Our Approach to Office Workplace Type Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Compensation Range: $70000-$140000 Annual Salary The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
