Reference #: 11916Job Summary:The Business Analyst Senior Manager, Digital Transformation & Innovation (DT&I) plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic initiatives that enhance our digital capabilities. The Senior Manager analyzes business processes, identifies opportunities for digital innovation, and implements solutions that align with the strategic goals of our Tax practice. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of technology, process, and data.The Senior Manager coordinates with the tax practice, DT&I and National IT to create and implement technology tools to meet the needs of our clients and professionals.Job Duties:Creates prototypes and low code solutions, as requiredCreates reports, dashboards, and visualizations, as requiredGathers requirements from business stakeholders and translates them as features and user storiesGrooms requirements for architects and developersPrepares/reviews technical documentation for assigned productsDevelops relationships with key business partnersPrepares and/or reviews test plansPerforms functional product testing, as requiredUtilizes understanding of BDO's tax technology strategy and overall portfolio. Implements strategy on assigned portfolioArchitects solutions to meet business needs based on technology strategyDesigns and tests business processes and recommends improvementsAnalyzes process issues and bottlenecks to make improvementsIdentifies automation opportunitiesGathers and analyzes data related to assigned products and projectsCommunicates insights and findings to product managers and technical leadersIdentifies business opportunities and ways to capitalize on themPerforms data discovery, analysis, and modellingFacilitates process design, requirements gathering, and product design workshopsParticipates as part of product team leadershipCommunicates with and manages executive-level stakeholdersAssists with project management, as requiredCoordinates with National IT to schedule required reviews and deployment of toolsOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Acts as a direct supervisor to team members, as assignedActs as a mentor, as assignedQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Education:Bachelor's Degree, required; focus in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Management, Finance, or Engineering, preferredExperience:Eight (8) or more years of experience as a business analyst, project coordinator, project manager, business manager, technical writer, technical support, or systems analyst, requiredTax experience, preferredPublic accounting experience, preferredLicense/Certifications:Certification in business analysis, process design, project management, product management, CPA, or EA, requiredSoftware:Knowledge of documenting requirement using Azure DevOps or Jira, requiredStrong Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) skills, preferredFundamental knowledge of SQL Server skills, preferredFoundational knowledge of Alteryx, preferredOther Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Knowledge of creating technical product documentationProcess design and optimization skillsStrong technical writing skillsStrong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesStrong presentation skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple prioritiesAbility to manage priorities across a large portfolioKnowledge in generating process and technical documentationWillingness to learn and stay current with emerging technologiesStrong relationship building skills across functionsAbility to understand business and technology strategy and implement it on assigned portfolioData analysis and analytics skillsStrong negotiation skillsStrong facilitation skillsIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after onsideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $170,000 - $240,000Maryland Range: $170,000 - $240,000NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $170,000 - $240,000All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other classification protected by law.
