Job Description

Overview The District Manager's primary duty is to sell medical devices and related equipment and services to physicians, hospitals, and outpatient facilities by establishing relationships with these health care providers. The District Manager will be customarily and regularly away from Cook's place of business in performing job functions and duties. The Critical Care division of Cook Medical focuses on devices for the management of critically ill patients for diagnostic therapeutic and monitoring applications. Product line includes devices to address difficult airway, percutaneous tracheostomy, central venous catheterization, arterial pressure monitoring, fluid resuscitation, enteral feeding, and centesis/drainage. For more information about Cook Medical, visit Responsibilities u2022 Develop new business and expands existing businessu2022 Develop, maintain and execute an annual business plan for the territoryu2022 Meet and exceed projected sales goalsu2022 Participate in national, state, and regional sales exhibitsu2022 Maintain timely expense reportsu2022 Keep current on the managed health care environmentu2022 Educate customers, through conversations, presentations/in-services and literatureu2022 Must travel overnight as needed u2022 Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organizationu2022 Must strictly adhere to safety requirementsu2022 Maintain regular and punctual attendanceu2022 Must maintain company quality and quantity standardsu2022 Must have effective oral and written communication skillsu2022 Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervisionu2022 Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations Qualifications Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements: u2022 Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable backgroundu2022 Knowledge of Microsoft software, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPointu2022 Experience in problem solvingu2022 Experience in working independently with little direct supervision Physical Requirements/Work Environment: u2022 Subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA, must be (a) physically capable of operating a motor vehicle on a regular basis, (b) a holder of a valid driver's license, and (c) in good standing to legally operate a motor vehicleu2022 Frequently lift product sample cases, weighing between 20 and 50 lbs. u2022 Occasionally required to stand for extended periodsu2022 Sit for extended periods, utilize close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.u2022 Work under general office environmental conditionsu2022 Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch Cook currently projects that the base salary for this position will range from $87,000.00to $93,000.00, with the actual pay depending on a variety of factors, including the candidateu2019s qualifications, education, experience, and the required location for this role. In addition, this role will be eligible for a variable bonus opportunity based on company and/or individual performance. The compensation range described above is always subject to change and could be higher or lower depending on the particular candidate, but it is what Cook reasonably expects in good faith to offer for the position at this time.
