Accounts Payable Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Staff Accountant to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a corporate environment while contributing to essential financial operations. The role combines hybrid work flexibility, with three days per week in-office, and provides comprehensive benefits coverage upon transition to a permanent role. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Manage the general ledger and ensure all accounts are reconciled in a timely manner. u2022 Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice approvals and vendor payments. u2022 Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met. u2022 Analyze financial data to support reporting and decision-making. u2022 Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.Accou Requirements u2022 Proven experience in journal entry preparation and maintenance. u2022 Strong knowledge of general ledger management and reconciliation. u2022 Hands-on experience with accounts payable processes. u2022 Familiarity with month-end close procedures and reporting. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and tools. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work effectively in a hybrid corporate environment. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
